Troll-ing along

I follow a few blogs and have found other blogs through them. Recently there seems to be a spike in trolls airing their silly little jibes and petty thoughts on several of these blogs. I don't understand trolls, If I think somebody is a twat, I want to stand in front of them and call them a twat. I want to see their face and hear the intake of breath, Where's the joy in lurking in front of a screen with no connection to reality?
I wonder what the troll is like in real life? Is there a specific type of person who becomes a troll? I tend to think of the troll as a middle-aged man, Daily Mail reader, probably single, Maybe quite shy as his views are probably not mainstream, possibly not very intelligent.
So there sits my troll figure, in his small bedroom (elderly mum is probably downstairs), munching on Pringles, probably in his underpants in case he wanders across some porn on the internet, Will he have posters of totally unattainable women on his walls? Oh yes. He will also have a Union Jack as he's Proud to be British. He doesn't work because of his bad back, but he thinks most jobs are beneath him anyway. Does he sometimes pretend to be a lady troll? Yes I think he probably does because then he can post as a "proper woman" who looks after her man as he deserves to be looked after. He doesn't actually need a woman, as his mum runs herself ragged looking after him, But that doesn't stop him hating women in general.
I tend not to think of women as trolls, I suppose they must do it though. Equality means we can all be equally vile if we feel the urge.  Sad times.

  1. I mean of course in front of a stupid blank screen.
I notice that you have no comments. What a pity you're posting into an empty space ...Internet makes it possible.

  2. Why do you think I'm waiting for comments? If I wanted comments I would have given up long ago. This is just a space to record bits and pieces of my daily meanderings. I do it solely for my own pleasure, no other agenda.

  3. The attempt at irony passed you by then. I would really like to read your blog, care to share?

  4. Miss Holmes I need no blog I exchange with real friends face to face and no need to imagine how you do it how a person must be reveals à lot about you . If you wish to write about your daily meanderings a nice little diary would be ok. As I See your blog is public which normally means you HOPE to get some followers. Your thoughts about what a troll must be makes me laugh for a good moment..are you reading romantic novels ???? So keep on walking and blogging. Virtual friends seem for all of you the best.Probably the best way to pass time when you 're old !

  5. Ah I didn't know having real friends meant blog friends were not allowed. Good job I don't have any blog friends and my real friends don't know about my blog so hopefully that's allowed."how you do it how"? Not sure what this means.
Is a blog not a diary?.
Why do you need to think I "HOPE" for followers, I already explained this.
So my ideas on what a troll is are incorrect, you seem an expert so do share.
I only read biographies and murder novels, sorry no romance. Walking and blogging sounds difficult- I might trip. Especially being so old (83).
"seem for all of you the best" not sure what this means.
