Good times
Things are very good at the mo. My mental health is brilliant, I can analyze stuff and work through it with clarity, then file it away or bin it. This is a huge deal to me and makes me feel in control and more like "ME".
The garden looks amazing, full of teenage birds, fighting for potential territories, plus the roses are in their second flush. The huge dragonflies are still flitting about, their amazing colours glisten in the sunlight. We are redesigning bits and pieces (as ever), but the enjoyment in planning is huge.
Later we are off to the granddaughters first birthday party, that was a quick year! She is walking and babbling and very curious. I totally adore her and see so much of her mum in her. Husband chops is brilliant with her, as he was with our girls, she beams whenever she sees him and they play lots of noisy games.
I am doing lots of walking with Keith, one day I might actually tire him out....or not. Our current favorite walk is around the perimeter of the iron age settlement close to our house. Even though we are on the edge of a town, we have many splendid walks. That's the thing I dislike about the "proper" country, all the land is owned and few public spaces exist, plus the sheer nothingness of it all *shudders*. I think you have to be a certain type of person to live in the back of beyond and enjoy it. That isn't me, I like edge of town living, nothing I need is very far but I can walk in solitude when I want to.
We are off on our travels to the Lake District soon, Not our usual destination, but a change is good. Husband is also off to "The good ol' US of A" for some tedious convention or other. I do envy his travels but not the work bits. Then he has some time in the Middle East, Keith and I will bumble along as always, eating crap (me) and chasing leaves (Keith). I am one lucky woman.
