A strange glow in the sky..
...Yep the big glowing warm thing is back! Sunshine I love you, with all your cancer giving badness, and your hints that spring may actually arrive. I took Keith for a long walk to celebrate, We ambled along the Grand Union Canal, Keith fell in twice, I stayed dry. The bloody dog has no sense. No boats today, but ours is a neglected little arm during the cold months. The Canada geese were honking loudly, probably wondering what that whiffy dog was doing in their watery domain. We saw the 5 Collie family too, Perfectly behaved border collies that stopped dead and gave Keith the stink eye. Like a canine Mafia. He hid behind me. Coward.
I also made a substantial dent in the bunting mountain, my sewing machine was glowing like a racing car brake disk, and so was I. Especially as the fuckwit dog was eating the bunting tape. My search for a potential "thing" to wear in my hair updo for the wedding took a weird turn. I found a jaunty little fascinator/tiny top hat thing that I rather liked. A little more expensive than I was happy with, but it did have extras....... Feathery fans to wave in front of your womanly bits, plus some weird long glove things. It was a burlesque kit. Eldest daughter said, "Go for it". Not sure her sister, brideshaped, would be too chuffed. I could just collect some random magpie feathers and pine cones then glue them to my hair I suppose.
Husband chops enjoyed Zurich, very splendid trams apparently. Sadly they have no shops in the whole city! No gifts for the wife then. Tightwad. Also on the subject of travel, the old and smelly but totally fabulous Eurostar will be going directly to Amsterdam. As a travel enthusiast who hates flying, this fills me with joy, £35 one way is a bargain. I need to plan a little trip in the summer as I've only been to Amsterdam once and spent most of the time at the container port. Which was quite exciting with all the land reclamation, but not terribly scenic.
Well, my bed is calling, I have a particularly gore filled cop/murder/stalker novel on the go. I'm quite a peaceful body, but I do like a nice murder before bed.
