Bah humbbug
Wow time flies when you're a lazy mare! It's nearly crimble! Where have I been? Mainly at home with a few days in bee-you-tifullll North Yorkshire. Mother in law is finally home after six months in assorted hospitals and rehab units, Thank you NHS. We had days when we wondered if she would come home, but thanks to amazing staff, she has given her back to us. How do you put a price on that?
I have reduced my anti-depressant level, and it's very hard going. Combined with various vitamin deficiency issues (sounds small, causes huge problems), I've had a pretty grim few months. I'm not convinced I was given the right advice on anti-d reduction, Reduce by half over night? Well I'm not keen to up it again so I must keep going.
In more interesting news, the resident thrushes are back from where ever they've been. OMG the noise! it seems that all the other birds have thought " I can't compare with that bloody row!" and are quietly sulking on a branch somewhere. We 've collected many, many bags of leaves. Our humble shack has an ancient drovers track behind it which was planted with many oaks. Unfortunately oak leaves take ages to decay, so we have to pick the buggers up. It's a small price to pay for the amount of wildlife we get to enjoy.
I have a crimble party tomorrow with the elderly racist sewing club, No doubt someone will have too much sweet sherry and there will be tears.......or a fight! As long as it's not me hehe. I wonder how many of them will still be around next Crimble.
The repulsive Trump has won. Who in their right mind would vote for a man with a name that posh people say instead of fart? I do think his tweets are incredible, Does the man not have a pause button for that ever-whirring mass of lunacy under his frazzled fringe? I'm waiting for the "what's this red button for?" tweet. How can you make such a tool of yourself in under 140 characters.
We still haven't decided what to have for Crimble lunch, the 32 bird roast sounds fun- every bird from Wren to Ostrich stuffed up another birds cavity. Yum. Maybe crisps and wine is the way to go.
