It's Friday I'm in love...

....The Cure. One of the bands delivered to me with my husband, like a dowry. He gave me immaculate vinyl all covered in protective plastic sleeves. I gave him scratched and dusty but loved anyway.
Well things waffle along in our little house. Garden plans are afoot, a trellis enclosed secret area, while the interior takes on its dusty summer neglected look- Why would I clean when I can sit outside slurping coffee and listening to the neighbours Turbo-Monster-Noisefucking-Hellmachine-Lawn mowers? I dislike lawn. In our climate lawn looks nice for two days a year, the rest of the time they are boggy filth or scorched earth yellow!
Our eldest mutt has had a manky toe removed this week....£500! Could have done it myself with a bottle of gin for comfort and some strong scissors, but hey, needs must. Said mutt has a very fetching giraffe print dressing on his foot, Do they give giraffes dog print dressings?
The hedgehog and at least three babies are still lurking in the greenhouse, mum is very unbothered by us and trots past us as we sit in the garden of an evening. They are such crazy looking beasties and it is amazing to be able to watch them while they are in residence, but I would quite like my greenhouse back at some point, Please.
We planted a cherry tree in the front garden when we moved here and every year the Blackbirds strip the cherries just as they start to ripen. This year they have ignored the cherries completely! I am flummoxed, We still have loads of Blackbirds about- their daily territory battles and swooping flights testify to this. What is wrong with the cherries? Tis a mystery.
Well that's me done, Time to have a ponder at the pond and find out what murderous deed the resident magpie is squawking about.
  I'll see thee.
