January has April showers.....
.......and 2+2 always makes a 5. Ok so it's not January, or April, but it is showery and I love Radiohead.
Life trundles on, apparently there was an election? Hehe joke. I voted, himself voted. Sadly the dawgs have no vote, shame as I feel they would have made a well-informed choice. Probably Peter Bone and Ed Balls.
Our robins have fledged! Phew the relief! The neighbours have several young cats who stick their catty faces into every nook and cranny of the garden, We were constantly peering out, banging on the windows and shouting naughty words at the feline potential murderers. Now all is calm......or so we thought! We were woken at stupid o clock by the hounds baying like the world was ending. Himself, being brave, peered into the garden, to see my emergency frost protection shower curtain ( for my tender plants, not me) moving about in the greenhouse! He bravely ventured out, to find a hedgehog trying to drag the shower curtain into a heap of leaves it had collected. We giggled and sniggered then went back to sleep.
The next morning the new worries started. Mrs Hog was clearly building a nest, But our greenhouse gets very hot even with the door and vent open. Could this mean baked hoglets???? Nooooo! Himself emailed a hog rescue group and they told us to leave the greenhouse door open and she would come and go as she pleased. What a relief. We may still put up a little roof shading, just in case.
Well that's enough of my ramblings, must go and count the tadpoles in the pond- about 3000 last night hehe.
I'll see thee.
